DRY ICE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Dry ice is EXTREMELY COLD at −109.3 °F. This is frostbite cold and requires safety precautions. Handle dry ice with care using tongs or gloves, and always securely close Mistystix capsules before serving. Children should have adult supervision. Food-grade dry ice pellets are available in most cities. One pound of dry ice pellets can serve about 50 drinks. The challenge is that dry ice evaporates at a rate of five to ten pounds every 24 hours in a cooler. Try to have dry ice delivered as close as possible to the time of use. Results vary.
